Hello,

We have a mix of Outlook and Outlook Express clients connecting as pop3 mail. We store the .pst of the Outlook users on our servers so we have a backup for them and we want to have this for our Express users too, but have not been able to store the active .dbx folder on the server.

On one of Microsoft's support pages they say "If you change the location of the mail store to either a mapped drive or a removable drive, this action is not supported by Microsoft." I have not been able to do this, when I try to change it to a mapped drive, the ok button is grayed out.

Does anyone know how to set the default location of the message store in Outlook Express 6 to work on a mapped network drive?

Thank you in advance,
Tom.

No, sorry. This is a quick explanation of why:
For backup purposes, you might script/schedule one of these tools:
Another thing you could do is to create a batch file to copy these files to your server (hopefully they wouldn't be in use at the time) and use windows scheduler to run the batch file.
