Outlook Express - Stalls when encounters Epoch dated emails

Hi,

we've got three computers running OE 6.0 with all the updates installed on Win XP Pro.

We've just upgraded to a new server running qmail, and all seemed fine until two of the clients started stalling when doing a recieve and coming up with an error message.

I checked the inbox using webmail, and found 3 or four spam messages dated 1/1/1970. If I deleted these from the server, all was well and the clients could receive again.

The fact that the third client has no problem at all prompts me to believe that this is a OE setup issue.

So has anyone heard of this before?
