Outlook Express Socket Error

Whenever I try to send messages from Outlook, I get this error message:
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Jenni's mail', Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10051, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

What could be going wrong? I have rechecked my settings countless times. I appreciate your advice.

Have you set up your Yahoo account, for the option to be able to check this account from Outlook??
If not you have to go to Yahoo Mail and into the Options page, then set it up for POP external checking, it will give you the correct SMTP address to add in for your Outlook Account.... Jay~
