Outlook Express crashed on me causing PC to hang. Once I managed to get PC going again and reloaded OE the inbox and sent items folders were empty.
Looked in "c:\mail" where the .dbx files are stored and noticed that there were files named :
Inbox (2).dbx
Inbox.dbx
After I reversed the names and restarted OE my old Inbox was back. The same thing worked OK for Sent Items.
The problem I have now is that I used to have four sub folders under Inbox which are no longer there. They are in "c:\mail" but I guess are linked with Inbox.dbx NOT Inbox (2).dbx
If you look at properties of Inbox it says "This folder is stored in the following file - C:\Mail\Inbox (2).dbx"
My question is - How do I set OE to use Inbox.dbx again rather than this new folder it has created and am I right in saying that the sub folders will reappear if I can fix this.
BTW Am running OE version 6
Thanks
