Outlook Express not saving sent items

Outlook Express 6 is running on XP Home with SP2 and all critical updates installed.

The email account is with Lycos so it is an HTTP account rather than a pop3.

The problem is that sent items are not being saved in the sent items folder.

I have checked that "Save a copy of sent items in the Sent Items folder" is ticked. I have deleted the sent items.dbx file and it has recreated itself. However, the problem persists.

Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

Check the date is set correctly on your PC.

I had the same problem twice and that was the cause both times!

Thanks, this has now been resolved. As I stated, this is an HTTP account and therefore OE reflects what is on the server much like an IMAP account. It appears that the users settings, which are accessed via her Lycos home page, had been changed. Apparently, it wasn't her:-(

I have the same problem at the office...anymore suggestions why it's doing this...Using XP Pro SP2 with OE
