I can no longer print email messages from Outlook Express. When I try to print I get the following message:an error has occurred in the script on this page

line 1344

char 1

error unspecified error

code 0

URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

I am using Windows XP Home and have Internet Explorer 6. So far I have tried everything I could find or think of to fix the problem. My latest attempt was to install the most recent versions of Direct X and Scripting.

Anyone have any ideas?

click Start, point to Run, and then type the following line: "regsvr32 IEPEERS.DLL" Click OK.

Thans for the suggestion but it did not solve the problem.

You are not alone. We have two users with this same issue. Microsoft has been no help as I have spent hours with them on the phone. I will post if we find a solution. I look forward to anyone else's suggestions!

I am expereincing this exact issue in Outlook XP and IE6.0 on an XP pro machine.

Can't remember when it started. Possibly after Windows update or inadvertant Spyware installations (Not Surf fairy or whatever that is).

Tried:
Running Spyware removal S&D and others. AV sW both installed and online.
Removing and reinstalling Default Print driver. Other print drivers remain such as Winfax and Win2PDF.
running - regsvr32 IEPEERS.DLL
Turning off Script debugging. I now get:

A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 1343
Error: Unspecified Error

I have the same exact error as BHurl1. It started when I was using Outlook Express, then upgraded to Outlook 2003. Same error in both pograms, altho I can print in any other program.

I fixed this problem by restoring the following entries into the Window XP registry.

I have no idea why these entries were deleted, but restoring them fixed the printing problem!

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
