I am running Outlook Express 6.0 with 98 SE. I received an E-mail that causes the computer to lock up as soon as I open the In Box. Is there a back door into In Box that will allow me to delete messages? I ran a virus scan with Norton as soon as this happened, don't suspect a virus. Appreciate any help, would hate to loose everything in my In Box.

Outlook Express In Box locks up computer

First, make a backup of your E-mail files. You probably find them in C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express. Next, try to compact the inbox (File menu, Folder, Compact). There also exist a repair-tool for the inbox, but maybe it is only for Win95 (?)
