Hi,

Using Outlook Express 5.0.6 for Mac.

Just moved a number of Outlook 2001 users to this as we have moved away from Exchange.

A couple of users have compleined that when they reply on an email sent to them, since they have been using Outlook Express, the 'blinking' thing that indicates where you are to type, ALWAYS goes to the bottom of the email and not at the top, which is where you would expect to type a reply.
So everytime the users have to click to the top of the reply email so they can type text in at the top of the message.

Does anybody know if this can be corrected or is it something that we have to put up with ? Its very irritating and I cant see what the point of it being like this !

Thanks in advance

Hi,

You can change where the text cursor goes on replies by going to the Outlook Express Edit menu->Preferences->Compose tab. Under the Reply abd Forward section, there are 2 radio buttons. By default, the Place insertion point after text is selected.
Click on the other radio button to select: Place insertion point BEFORE text.
Click O.K. to close the Preferences window and return to the main Outlook Express window.
