Outlook Express: Email works on one identity, not another

I opened up Outlook Express yesterday, and I noticed something weird. All of my folders that I divide my mail up into were all messed up and out of order. Then, when I tried to receive my mail from my 3 accounts, I got errors for all of them. I couldnt figure it out, the only thing I did was run AdAware between uses, thats it.

So today, I decided to create a new identity to try just for the heck of it. I entered my account info and it worked. Dont know why.

My question is is there some sort of setting for an identity which would prevent me from getting my mail? I reentered my account user/pass etc at least three times and still no luck, so its not a problem of my login info being incorrect. Any help would be appreciated.
