I use windows 2000, and Outlook Express for mail.
I'd like it to be the default mail.
But, in Tools->Internet Options the default mail is Netscape Messenger, and I have no option to choose Outlook Express. Messenger is the only thing there.
(Btw - In Newsgroups, I do have Outlook Express as default).

From "my computer", I selected:
Folder Options->File Types->URL:mailToProtocol

I pressed "edit" in the Actions box, and in the
Application used... I entered:
"c:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /mailurl:%1
(There was there before: rundll32.exe url.dll,MailToProtocolHandler %l
I am not even sure I should have changed it).
I set it to default there.
However, after rebooting, no change in the default mail.Btw - In the extension column of the mailToProtocol, it's written "N/A"(???), and the icon there is still that of Netscape messenger.

I also installed netscape and IE All over. Did not help.
Please help out...
Thanks

Thanks very much.
I used the 3rd suggestion successfully:

I.e. I typed:
"C:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe" /reg
in Start-<Run
and then I could go back to tools->Internet options->Programs->e-mail
and AT LAST saw Netscape messenger BUT ALSO OLE, as options to choose from (before, OLE was not an option).
That solved my problem.
Thanksssss very much
