I have 2 pc's connected directly (no hub) via network card, both win 98, although 2 different versions of OE.

What I require is that both PC's may download the e-mails and send e-mails. At the moment the PC thats connected to the modem can send the mail but the other cannot. Is this a version difference problem and should I upgrade or are there settings in OE that I need to look at on the client PC.

Will appreciate any assistance.

Thanks
Mario.

You mention Winproxy, are you running it or thinking of using it. If you are, you need to set up Winproxy with your Pop3 and smtp server addresses, and point the client copy of Outlook Express to the address of the server computer.

I don't think the OE version comes into it, but make sure you have TCP/IP running for the network cards on both machines.
