I use outlookexpress to synch with ms livemail 2011, however I currently can't use it (only webmail) it would crash and freeze up my OS constantly when starting up outlook express ..

Any solutions or KB

thanks

Outlook Express is not supported on any OS after Windows XP.

Thanks I didn't know that, is there any other good email system I could use ??

Claws mail ( best of all in my opinion.

Mozilla Thunderbird ( can be a bit flaky at times

eM client ( Good stable client definitely worth the price for the "Pro" version, and a bargain when compared to Outlook pricing.

Incredimail, ( Okay for personal use, but not really suitable for work use (Unless you sell party poppers, balloons, streamers and the like)

Opera Mail ( rock solid client, does what it says on the tin.

Simple Mail ( Plugin for FireFox bit basic but it works well enough.

great info thanks , u made my day..I always know why I am coming back to this site...thanks so much guys ..best info is always here !!

... or you could just use Windows Live Mail 2011... Or is that the program that's crashing???

Thunderbird for me. Somewhat similar to Outlook Express if you're looking for a similar experience.

Outlook if you want to buy it.

@ guitarzan, windows livemail 2011 yes dats the one that crashes and freezes up..

So, not outlook express, then?

Normally Livemail misbehaves when its database gets corrupt.

I've been running Thunderbird since I built my new PC (February 2013) and it has never crashed or misbehaved at all.

@ guitarzan, windows live mail 2011 is syncd with outlook express, outlook is the one that crashes..

>windows live mail 2011 is syncd with outlook express
I don't understand this at all...

But anyway, the point of my question earlier is that Windows Live Mail should do anything that Outlook Express can do, and is supported in Windows 7. Just stop using Outlook Express, only use Windows Live Mail, and problem solved??

I think we are all confused now.

outlookexpress to synch with ms livemail 2011
Yes, this is totally incorrect/impossible or at least totally confusing and thus I IGNORED it in my reply.

Mail clients don't sync with each, they sync to an email account. I guess maybe you mean they are both using IMAP and thus you see the same contents on both mail clients?????

goombawaho (MIS), sorry for cnfusing everybody nit an expert.. ok I can access the same mail via MS/hotmail on the web, however I (believe) I then synced this with windows livemail 2011 (that's what it says when I open the email client)I guess outlook was the wrong information.

Also I see that claws only works with LINUX, am I correct ??

Actually with only very minor changes it was renamed as Windows Mail and shipped in Windows Vista. Windows 7 was when it got the axe.
