A friend of mine is trying to transfer his address book to me. When I try to open his WAB.XL9 file, My Outlook file comes up. If I get his file to open up in Excel or Word, it comes up as machine code. He cannot get into Outlook Express 6.0 at all and I want to make sure his list is saved in one format or another. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Jay

if it's OutlookExpress you need a .WAB file which is located under %userprofile%\Application data\Microsoft\Address Book\
Copy this file to your computer, open your OE, klick on file/import/adress book and click on the file.
