Hello:

I am running Windows XP Professional with SP2. I am using Outlook Express for my e-mail. I was offered a 60-day trial of Microsoft Office 2007 so I took it but before installing it I backed up all my .dbx and .pst files. After installing it there were so many problems I immediately uninstalled it. When I opened Outlook Express all my personal folders were gone. I then did a search for *.dbx and *,pst files and it found many of them. The problem is when I try to import them they just won’t import. I know all the info is in those files because they are like 12,429KB in size and up. Any ideas?

First, OE does not use .pst files at all; if you have any, they belong to outlook. Current versions of OE only use .dbx files. Second, how did you 'backup' these files originally? Third, what specifically happens when they "just won't import"? - Does OE hang? Do you get an error like No messages can be found in this folder?
