Please help me!
NT 4 Workstations (SP6A)
NT 4 Server (SP6a)
IE6 & OE6
We've moved from Outlook Express 4 to Outlook Express 6, and our network users have started 'losing' emails.
It seems that OE6 is storing the mail folders in a local path "C:\WINNT\Application Data\Identities...", INSTEAD of the Microsoft supposed default of "C:\WINNT\Profiles\%USERNAME%..."
The mail folders aren't being saved with the profile at logoff, so when users go to a different workstation later in the day, they've lost their folder/contents (but not their account info!)
I cannot redirect the mail root with a policy, as I did with OE4, coz the OE6 mail location key has a {IDnum} value in it which is different for every user, and therefore not addressable in a global policy.
How can I do this? Ideally I would save users mail on their Home Drive (H, but you can't specifiy mapped drives!
Arrggghhhh...
TIA,
Simon.
