OUTLOOK EXPRESS 5.02. CAN'T LINK TO IE ADDRESS

Hi, I have OE 5.02 installed and I can't send an email that could link to an IE address, i.e so I can send image rich emails, it comes up with an error saying "event sysodlog". How do I get this to work as my clients are pressuring me to find out how to do this. Have acheived it from a PC, but I need to do it from a mac.

Thanks for any help
