Outlook 2003 - Exchange 2003 - OWA - Windows 2000 Advanced Server
I'm looking for a suggestion on how manage the following request.
One of the owners of the company has Outlook configured with an Exchange account for when he is in the office. He also has a POP account configured to receive emails while on the road. Whenever he receives an email it is delivered to local PST file.
He has had issue with sending when trying to use the POP account. My thought is hotels may be blocking SMTP access, which prevents the sending.
With this in mind, I have suggested he remove the forwarding of emails to the local PST and opt for Outlook and OWA.
His one main complaint with this: "I will not be able to download emails to my computer and reply to them while I am not connected to the Internet."
So, what does everyone else do?
Thanks for you help. Please let me know what you think and if you need more info.
Thanks,
Dave
