in Outlook. tying move items to folders. Inbox to Personel folders. prompts:"The Item could not be move - it was already moved or deleted or access was denied"

Any help on this error would be appreciated.

select and move fewer items at one time, it is a known issue when alot of messages are being moved or deleted.

You don't mention which version of Outlook, neither do you mentio how many messages you are moving.

For Outlook Xp, it is 4.000, for 2003 it is 5.000 where the problems start.

You will also receive this error when deleting emails. The best I can tell is that this is caused by Outlook not updating with the mail server quick enough. One work around is to highlight several messages and hold the Shift button while you drag the to a different mailbox or when you delete them.

You can also highlight several emails and right click to see the "Move to Folder" option. This option works fairly well since it forces updates to the server.

Hope these help

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.
