Outlook error message "A prgram is automatically trying to send email on your behalf. Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "no".
We setup another program to automatically email updates to specific email users. This was working properly prior to my upgrade to Win2k from Win98. It appears that Outlook wants a response everytime the program automatically tries to send the email. Is there an option that I can check in order to turn off the email confirmation? I checked the program scripting for the other program and everything still looks correct. Nothing was changed in the scriptiing.
 
This was not caused by your OS upgrage, it was caused by your Office update. I'm guessing that you are using Office 2000 SP1a or SP3. FYI, see
There are a few options for you:
1. You can uninstall office, then reinstall without updating the SP.
2. You can use a third party tool like
If you use the third party tool, be sure that your antivirus is always up to date because you will be overriding the safety feature that MS implemented.
 
Go to Run> regedit HKEY_Current_Uer>Software>Policies>Microsoft> and then Add a key called Security and then a dwordvalue called CheckAdminSettings, value of 2 and hexidecimal.
