A user is getting a message when she tries to move an item from her sent folder to a subfolder she created in her inbox. The message is "Can't move the items. The item could not be moved. It was either already moved or deleted or access was denied". The item was not already moved or deleted. We are on a network. I had her log off and back on and she still got the message. It has happened to her before and if she tries it later it will work. Any ideas?

Is the folder on the Network
How was it created????

You may be able to change the permissions on the folder to give her rights.
You have to go to the machine where the folder was originally created.

Give her ownership or author capablities.

I went to the folder she is trying to move to and the folder she is moving from and gave her ownership and still got the same message. Yes we are on a network. NT server running exchange 5.5. She is the only user on the network having this problem.

I found the problem. She was trying to move an earlier version of the e-mail message from her sent items to the folder she created. So the e-mail message was already there. I broke one of my cardinal rules. Always check the obvious first. Thank you for responding.
