I'm trying to set up a centrally maintained distribution list for my company. We have a 2003 Native AD structure with 2003 and 2008 servers. Some of our users are using Outlook 2003 and others are using Outlook 2007.
Due to changes by our ISP our previous method of distributing email company wide no longer functions so I have set up a global distribution group in AD.
I have set up an LDAP address book to connect to AD and I can see all the contacts but not the distribution group. When I use the "more columns" option in Outlook 2007 I can search for the group I find it but using it in the TO: field fails to send. I immediately get a response email from outlook saying "None of your e-mail accounts could send to this recipient."
When I look at the properties of the list on the email addresses tab no addresses are listed even though the group has 50+ users with emails set.
Does anyone know how I can set up a distribution list like this without the use of an exchange server?
Thank you,
