Hi all,
I need a bit of help with Outlook. I use Outlook to dial out using Cisco Callmanager; whereby I pick a contact, right click on them and click "Call contact", and it is able to pick up my Cisco phone and start off the phone call.
The problem is however that we use 9 for an outside line. I need to be able to put 9 in front of any digit string beginning with 0 (such as 01902 xxxxxx) as a UK number for instance. Some of our users have over 300 contacts, and therefore not only do not want to spend x hours changing al their contacts, but also if this is done, no smartphones that sync with Outlook can call correctly.
Whatever I try though in the Outlook dial rules, it pretty much ignores my digit string. Are there any wild cards i can use? The only way i got the dial rule to work is by correctly arranging the dialled number in outlook into "Area code" and "Local number", whereby it recognises the area code I have entered and applies the 9 to the front. The two obvious issues from this though are that it takes even longer to change contacts to this format than adding 9 in front of the digit string; and also that I need a dial rule for every type of area code (ALOT!).
Any ideas or help would be hugely appreciated!
Mike.
