In Outlook 2000 I had a number of sub-folders under my "deleted items" folder and accidently, (what else) "emptied the deleted files folder" wherein all the sub-folders are gone. I don't have the Outlook help files and wonder if anyone knows how i can recover these folders.

Thanks to all for your help.

Go to Tools->Recover Deleted Items, in Outlook and see if that works, it might not work if you are using Exchange server as the IT administrator needs to set this to work... Jay~

My new Tae Kwon Do website is up and running!!

Are your personal folders stored locally on your desktop or on a server where they were backed-up?

If they were on a backed-up server you could request they be restored.

Good Luck

I just had a user do exactly the same thing and again, my first question is WHY? What is it about the concept of Deleted files that you do not understand?

Anyway, the easiest way is to restore the outlook pst file (with a new name) from the last backup before the unfortunate incident. Then open a new personal folder and choose the new pst. Drag over the folders and PUT THEM IN YOUR INBOX. Then you can delete the new personal folder and go merrily on your way.
