I've got users with gigundonormous pst files. I want to create a new data file and add a folder for email items to it for ALL users in the domain. I want to put all the data files in a single location on a file server. The idea is to give them a couple of weeks to move old email to these folders, then back the entire directory up and delete it from the file server.

Where can I find information on creating a script of some sort (VBA? PowerShell?, ??)to do that?

I believe there might be a setting somewhere within group policy which might allow you create a pst file for each user and it's location.

I know that I currently control the OST file location to their C:\documents&settings\profile\ folder.

There might be an option for pst.

and I feel your pain. I have users with 8 gig mailboxes!!! and telling them to archive is like pulling teeth at the dentist!!!!
