We use Outlook 2000 with Exchange 2000 for company email. I have a problem with one user who is unable to use Outlook. Everytime you start Outlook, it instantly comes up with an error message: "Outlook.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows". Outlook then closes about 3 seconds later.
I have managed to get it to start without the error by changing where new mail is delivered to (under Tools, Services and Delivery tab). If I set it to "none" or his personal folder (.pst file), Outlook works. If I then change it back to "Mailbox" (which is on the Exchange server), the user is unable to send/forward/reply to any emails as a message says no location for sending/revieving emails has been selected.
Upon closing and restarting Outlook, the first error then appears and Outlook crashes again.
Thinking it may be a corrupt email, I managed to move all items from inbox, sent items and deleted items to a new .pst file, but this didn't make any difference.
Any ideas??
