Outlook crashed, emails altered

Someone at the office experienced an Outlook 2007 crash earlier. When he restarted the program, he noticed that his emails had been altered; subjects and message bodies for a few messages had been swapped, so message A was displaying the subject and sender from message B. What's going on? Is there a way to fix this? We're running on an IMAP mail server.

Have you actually seen the emails that have been altered?

Me too. I can not suggest anything, but I will be watching to see if someone does.

That is very weird and a new one for me. Never heard of such a thing. I will reiterate robmazco's question - have you actually seen these?

Yeah, I've seen them.

One of the mails has the subject from our automated Google Analytics report, but the message body from a personal email.

hmmm...have you tried renaming the ost and re synching outlook?
Or try users credentials on another pc?
