Outlook converts .EPS file to .DAT

When sending an attached file with .EPS extension, the recipient sometimes receives the file as an .DAT extension.

This is using Outlook in Windows XP Professional.

What format is outlook sending? If Outlook is sending in Rich Text format, this is common. Change to HTML or Plain Text.
