Outlook Contacts

hi,

we have exchange 2k with outlook 2000 and 97 mixture. none of our users can create any contacts in the "contacts" folder under "outlook address book" they can create them under "personal address book" with no problems. the exact error i get is the following "you cannot create entries for this address book". is this some kinds of rights issues? all i do is create the users in AD then give them a mailbox.

I to have this problem - but with an Internet Mail service / pst file. Any ideas anyone?

Usally this kind of problem is a rights issue.

You have to login as the user who created the public folders and right click on contacts. Then chose properties

Assign the users Author rights and make sure all the boxes you want are selected.

Look in the address book settings. Personal Address Book normally points at Contacts anyway - so they amount to the same thing.
