Hi,

Whenever that I push To in a new mail item I get my contacts ordened First Name, Last Name. I want this to be the other way round.
I have already changed my address book completly with no result???
Any ideas

You don't say what version of Outlook your using but it OL2K go tools ->options, click on "contact options" and set your preferences there. Other versions should be similar.

Cheers.

Sorry, should have mentioned, its 2003

Doesn't seem to work. The problem is that whatever I do when I click the To button the first alphabetical sorted field is Name which is in the format First Name, Last Name.

I don't think it affects existing contacts, just new ones.

I did some testing.

It appears that the only way you can get the list the way you want it is to change the "full name" field to read surname firstname (with no comma after the surname). However this causes a problem with "file as" because the options there are now "surname firstname" or "firstname, surname" (i.e. Doe John or John, Doe).

Cheers.

Yes, that does the trick. I'll see if it gives any consequences.

Thx
