Have seen three isntances recently of users having Outlook 2000 choking on emails (with attachments) in the Outbox. Won't respond to Delete or Move commands. Nonsense Error Message ends with "..run Repair tool.."(didn't help) MS (lack of) Knowledge base was no help. Finally fixed by exporting to Outlook Express, cleaning Outbox, and then creating new .pst and importing from Outlook Express. There has to be info on this issue but can't find an easier fix. Note: .pst sizes were minimal, one using pop3/smtp, others Exchange. Has anyone any ideas?

Sometimes these things can be caused by a corrupt Outlook profile. You could try creating a new profile that uses the existing .pst file. For future problems, you can sometimes get them out of the outbox by creating a mail rule to permanantly delete the message and manually running it in the outbox.
