Outlook cant open WORD file

NT compuer running office 2000 ,WORD ,Outlook,Access


When user tries to open an attached word document in Outlook. Outlook gives a message something like ;
The system cannot find the file specified"

Word runs on this computer but everytime I open it it tries to install for a second and then completes the startup.

I tried the file assocation trick, highlight doc,hold left shift down and reassociated it with it.

Should I try tp repair WORD OR OUTLOOK,
also since multuple users use this same computer - is there away to set up so WORD can start properly for each individual user. Cant they have the same ICON in their individual startup folder ??

Was your company infected with Nimbda ??? It destroys (or at least the cleaning of the virus) Riched20.dll, which is used bu Outlook, Word & wordpad.... Tyrone Lumley

NO, its been doing this for awhile. I think it has something to do with the way its set up for multiple users.
Im guessing.
