Greetings,

We have a general staff calendar in a public folder. The users grumble about having two calendars. Is there a way to add the public items to the individual calendars and lock them down so they are "read only"? If so, how do I do this?

Also, is there a way to change the daily display for Saturday and Sunday to make them individual? Most of our calendar items are on Saturday and Sunday.

Any thoughts about these two things would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, but each individual user can go into the general staff calendar, and open the meetings that are pertinent to them and click on the "Copy to personal calendar" toolbar button (or go to Actions(2000) or Calendar('97), Copy to Personal Calendar). It really doesn't need to be Read Only in the users calendar, does it? What changes they might make to a meeting in their calendar will not affect the general staff calendar. As far as Saturday and Sunday displaying individually, what view is the calendar in? The only view that displays them in one box is the Week view. You may want to switch the calendar to another view (month or day). You can use the Work Week View (instead of Week) IF you're using 2000. But you'll have to go into Tools, Options, Calendar Options, and click all 7 days as work days. For more space, you can drag the navigator (the display of months) and the task bar off the screen.
