outlook bar hangs

hi
i have outlook 2000 installed on my pc (win 2k) and everytime i close outlook the outlook bar (please wait while outlook exits) message just does not seem to go from the screen.
i have recreated the profile and also reinstalled office 2000 but nothing seems to be working..
any solutions

Hello there...since you are on Windows 2000 what I would first suggest doing is installing Windows Service Pack 4 if you not already have it....I would try that first...if that does not fix your issue you may have to take a look here...

Hello again..another thing that I forgot to mention is ---Are you running any software that integrates with Outlook? Virusscanners,
Synchronisation software, WinFax, etc... These applications keep Outlook
open. If you close those applications first -- Outlook will close as well.
