This is a strange problem I haven't run across before. Three of our 80+ computers running XP Pro started up one morning with "corrupted user account" and could not log on to the network. User 1 was using Outlook Express with Office 2000 and System Restore did not fix so copied corrupted account to new account, fixed. The users 2 and 3 were using Outlook 2007; user 2 was fixed with System Restore. User 3 was not so lucky, System Restore could not finish. Created new user, copied corrupted user info to new user. Re-created Outlook account and attempted to use the Outlook Backup Tool (already installed on all systems) when the problem started. "Not found", so downloaded the tool and tried to install in but could not- said it was already there! Even under admin account no trace in Add/Remove Programs. So I can't uninstall and cannot re-install the tool. Manual copy of pst files worked but my question is: any idea where in the registry to remove it so I can re-install it?
