Hello Ron,
automating Outlook is easy, yes.
In the thread you refer to the topic was using MAPI (and not just the MAPI interface of outlook) for when you are not at all knowing which mail software the user has installed.
MAPI (especially the MAPI Session and Mapi Message controls) can help here, but it's not that simple, because of several bugs in older Mapi OCX and DLL versions.
