outlook attachments

whenever I try to attach a file by either right clicking on the file in Windows Explorer or using the send to command from any MS Application, which I assume doers the same thing, a new email window opens. Great...but when i enter my message and then try to send nothing happens??

The workaround I have been using is to save the email, which then appears in my inbox, open the email by 2xclicking and the pressing send.

Any ideas on how to cure, or why this is happening?

Have you tried this yet?

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools|Internet Options and click on the Programs tab. Choose your email program as the default email program.

Yes I have tried that. This problem happens on two seperate computers, my home and work machines, so I am beginning to think its a MS thing
