A number of my co-workers here are having a problem with their outlook. They attach a .doc file to an email in outlook and send it, and when it is recieved, it is in the form of a zip file.

Does anyone know what is causing this, where to look to turn the feature off, and how to rectify it?

This usually is due to the recipient using an isp which routinely zips files before delivering them. Had one client who dropped their isp due to slow unzip. Believe you can have the isp (if this in fact is the problem) automatically unzip the file when you download. It is under the preferences or options. I don't remember which. Still gets to you as a zip, but gets unzipped to your machine. The client was using AOL, but there may be others. Time flies when you don't know what you're doing...
