How do I get attachments modification dates in Outlook?

Thank you

Could you rephrase that please? Attachment modification dates? What dates are you talking about? The date of an attachment is the date received. Not, by the way, the date you actually save it to the local drive. So I am not understanding the word "modification". Modified by whom, or what? And what modification is being done?

If you received an outlook email with two attachments (one is a Word document, the other one is an Excel file). How do I get the Windows modification date for these attachments?

Thank you

I am talking about the date in which the file that is now an attachment was modified by their users.

The modified date for attachments are reset to the current system date when I save an attachment. I want to be able to capture/retain the attachment file's original modified date.

Please help. Thank you!

For a word document:
ActiveDocument.BuiltInDocumentProperties(wdPropertyTimeLastSaved)
For an excel spreadsheet:
ActiveWorkbook.BuiltinDocumentProperties("Last save time")

Hope This Helps, PH.

PHV is correct, always. The important point missing though is that you have to OPEN the file before you can retrieve that information. The code calls for "ActiveDocument" - which means it is loaded.
