Does anyone know how to tell how large the attachment is when you are in Outlook without opening the file or using the preview pane?

You can tell the entire size of the message (attachment and all) by adding the size field to your mailbox view.

1. In your inbox: go to "view", "current view", "customize current view",
2. Click on the "fields" button
3. Choose "size" and then click on the "add" button
4. Click "ok" twice

You will now have a size field showing in your inbox.
