When I save an attachment that I receive via an Outlook email, sometimes the saved file has the original modification date (when its content was last modified before it was sent to me), and sometimes the saved file takes on the date that I saved it as its "modification" date. How can I ensure that my saved files always keep their original modification dates?
thread707-940162 addresses this, but the answer made no sense to me. Is there a setting that I can set in Outlook that will always save the original modification date? -- or is it property of the attached file? If so, how are attachments configured so as to carry their own modification dates when sent as attachments(preferably without having to write visual-basic or other code)?
