Hi
I have an Exchange 2003 server running with 6 remote offices connected to it with a permanent VPN. Each office has a different domain name.
Every remote user is prompted for a username and password every time they open up Outlook.
I have added the username and password in the Manage Passwords section of Control Panel in the format
Server: server
User name: domain.local\user
Password: password.

It keeps asking even when I tick the Remember password box.

Anyone know how to force Windows to remember the password?
Thanks in advance.

Do they have the same username and passwords on the local machine as the one on the exchange server?

If they have usernames in your domain and the same ones in theirs and the passwords are the same then have their Outlook use NTLM and it will just go straight in.

Otherwise, stick a GC in each site that is on your domain and have just one domain - much easier :)

No the usernames and passwords are different.

How do I go about adding a GC? It's not something I have ever done before.

Thanks.
