Hi

i'm having problems with Citrix Server v.4 sp6/Metaframe v1.8 sp3 and and Outlook 2000. In order for Outlook to load, i need to right click on the icon, go to properties, and somewhere in there i need to select "Manually control connection state" and "Choose the connection type when starting" and "Connect with the network". WThe changes for the user is that they have to click on "Connect" after double clicking on Outlook.

If these properties are not selected, Outlook does not load and just hangs.

Although i have a work around for this solution, does anyone have anyone have any idea why this has to be done or what changes may've been made to the network.

The users have mixture of operating systems, windows NT, 2000 and XP.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sze

I would be looking at the mail profiles. Look in control panel Mail and check that they are automatically connecting to the network for I am assuming exchange.

Test one. I think it is the profile.

When you installed Outlook, did you use the special procedure with TRANSFORM?

Not sure, should we have? I will check with the network team. Thanks Sze

Yes, you have to use TRANSFORM and a MST file to make this all work happily together.
