We recently lost our downloaded copy of Outlook 98. Does anyone know where it can be downloaded now?
Microsoft doesn't seem to offer it any more.
Thanks.

Thanks for the download site. Since it's an Active Setup, it requires the rest of the software to be served from somewhere obviously. It would appear that the rest of the software that it's looking for doesn't exist "out there". I try the active setup and it can't find any servers to download from (i.e. Microsoft is no longer serving this product installation would be my bet).

Anybody else have any clues?

I'm running Outlook 98 from when it was a freebie upgrade from Outlook 97 and I've had a problem with my Contacts that basically requires a re-install....BUT....there's no place to re-install it from!!

Does anyone have any Outlook 98 CD's that they'd be willing to send me here in Scotland?
Thanks!
Dleigh

dleigh,

Your best bet is to check out Outlook on Office 2000. That will require an upgrade but Outlook 98 can not hold a candle to Outlook 2000. I've run Outlook 97, 98 and 2000 and finally with Outlook 2000 I find that it is a very stable program. It is now pretty close to Outlook Express 5.0 but with many additional features. I have clients that use it both for in-house network mail and as an e-mail client. I use it for my customer contact data base and find that it is easy to track appointments and clients with out the crashes experienced with Outlook 98.

I hope that helps.
