I'm a user (means not extremely technical) of Outlook 98. I periodically get an error message and I'm stumped trying to fix the problem.

The message reads "Unable to update public free/busy data. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system administrator."

I suspect it's related to my local copy of Outlook periodically checking the server to update calendar data. Although I don't use the calendar's scheduling function to set up appointments with other users, I do use the default "free" or "busy" settings when entering appointments.

Everything looks normal in my own configuration settings.

Any tips would be appreciated.
