Hi

How can I get outlook 98 to show me which messages I have replied to in the inbox view pane. I Am trying to turn on those cute littlesymbolsthat appear next the the message header reminding me what action i have taken.

Thanks in advance

AK

In the view pane right mouse click on any of the Column Headers (i.e. FROM, SUBJECT,...) and select FIELD CHOOSER.

From the pull down menu select "Frequently-used fields" and look for the column header "icon". Then just click and drag it to where you want it positioned in the pane.

If you don't see "icon" in this menu then try "All Mail Fields"

Close the Field Chooser window when finished.

Thanks for the advice but the icon display is there and modifies between read and unread, it just does modify when I reply or forward email items. Do u know what it could be?

AK: I don't remember what I did and have been unable to find an "issue" anywhere, but I DID fix this for someone once. Since I can't find a known issue, the only thing I can think for you to do is to run a regserver on Outlook. I "resets" everything in Outlook, tho, so you'll have to recustomize any views or anything. Your rules and stuff will be fine, as well as your accounts and stuff. Your views may be lost.

Close Outlook.
Hit Start-Run and type:

outlook.exe /regserver

and hit Enter. dreamboat@nni.com
