Outlook 97 Query??

Outlook 97 will disconnect automatically after sending and receiving, the only problem is is that i have norton anti virus 2003 installed and the internet connection is terminated before the email can be sent. With the copy of outlook 97 i installed on my system i was able to turn off this by going to tools, services, properties of internet E-Mail and then to the connection Tab and unticking the disconnect when sending and receiving check box. However the PC at which I am having this problem with has no such option under the connection Tab, any help would be appreciated.
