I am having problems with Outlook 97 and the Internet Mail service. When I receive a reply to a message I have sent, the message does not appear in the body of the message but as a .txt attachment. However if someone sends me a brand new message, it appears in the message body as normal. If I reply to their message and they reply back, it is still fine. The problem only occurs if I sent the original message.
I am sure it is something to do with the message format in Outlook 97. In Outlook 2000 there is an option called Message Format, where you can select to send messages in HTML, RTF, or Plain Text. However I can't find a similar option in 97. The only option of any relevance is in each contact in my address book - there is a tick box which says Send Mail Using Rich Text Format. I have deselected this but replies still appear as a text attachment. Any idea what I can do to resolve it?
