When using outlook the system appears to hang, looking at task manager outlook.exe and services.exe are maxing out cpu to 100%. Operating system is NT 4.0, SP5.
Logging in with an account on a different domain outlook behaves ok. Previously the NT profile was refreshed and appeared to fix the problem, but only for a week or so. I don't like just trashing out NT profiles so can anyone give me some clues as to the correct problem/solution.

Do you have other components installed in the profile other than Microsoft Exchange Server?

Personal folders can sometimes cause this problem if the application has problems opening the folder because of either corruption or the size of the folder. joegz

what's the fix for a corrupted folder if that is the problem?

Run scanpst.exe (inbox repair tool)on the folder. joegz
