Outlook 97 hangs with MAPISP32 Error

Using Outlook 97 configured on NT 4.00 Workstation SP6 with Office 97 and Outlook Express still configured but not used, unless Outlook 97 fails. SMTP and POP3 are on UNIX boxes and run quite happily on machines with Outlook Exoress and no Outlook confiqured. Outlook was running OK on the few machines it is confiqured on but has started to develop problems. They then swith to Outlook Express for email. After uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook plus the full office suite sveral times I am still unable to resolve the Outlook MAPISP32 error and consequently have to endtask to close down Outlook and restore a stable machine.

Any help much appreciated, sorry for the drawn out explanation. the more info the better though.

Can you capture and post the exact error? It may help to track down the problem.

Running Office 97 on Windows 95 Dell 400mhz PII w/128mb
Outlook locks up when transmitting- then MAPISP32 error.
Uninstall and reinstalling Windows Messaging / Outlook only solution found. Appears to be Office 97 / i.e.Microsoft issue. Has also occured on Windows 98SE Workstations w/ Office 97. Office 2000 Pro has issues when using Outlook as primary email application.
