I am having a common problem on many machines. Many machines using Outlook 97 generate an error and close when someone tries to open Outlook 97. Just recently someone was having a problem where they opened Outlook, are prompted to rebuild there shortcut bars, but when they chose yes to do so, outlook.exe generates an error and closes. I reinstalled Office 97 altogether but now an error is generated as soon as you try to open outlook. Other computers have this problem as well, and they all run on Windows 2000. Is anyone familiar with this problem or or found a fix that works?
